Restorative Yoga

The Class

In a Restorative class, you can expect to use props such as bolsters and blankets to support the body in the pose. It is about nurturing your mind, body and spirit. Once in restorative postures, the need for the muscles to exert any effort is reduced or eliminated. The result is a release of muscular tension. The mind can then go into a relaxed stated, allowing the nervous system to balance and promoting energy flow through the body. Relaxation is known to boost immune response, therefore giving the physical body the opportunity to heal and repair.
