Teacher Introduction

Sharing the Body-Mind Connection, Human Anatomy & Functional Movement

Jenna was introduced to the art of yoga in 2011 and has been exploring the practice diligently ever since. She spent a large portion of her life training in competitive dance, which made the transition to yoga natural yet endlessly challenging. Her interest in fitness and health originates from her physical background, but is supplemented with a strong academic foundation. She graduated from the University of Guelph, majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. Currently she attends the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she is a medical intern and continues to educate herself on the latest information in holistic health and patient-centered care.  What Jenna enjoys most about teaching is sharing her unique knowledge of the body-mind connection, human anatomy, and functional movement.

Jenna’s classes are accessible to all levels and ages. Due to her extensive training in anatomy and human kinetics she is able to offer a variety of modifications for injuries and advanced poses for those looking to push their practice further. She teaches many styles of yoga and enjoys adding strength training, dance-inspired conditioning, and pilates based movement to her classes.

Jenna has been a student at the Richmond Hill location since the beginning of her yoga journey and has recently taken on classes in 2017. She was certified by Real Evolution Yoga. Her training focused on neurological and behavioural science which complemented her previous knowledge of the human body.
