Sandy started practicing yoga in the fall of 2002. Like a lot of people, she started after being injured. Her first yoga was gentle hatha yoga and now practices vinyassa, restorative and yin yoga. She did her basic teacher training in 2007, then advanced in 2009, both at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre. Sandy has worked with all types of students including the elderly, and people with developmental and physical disabilities. Sandy loves being a student and teacher of yoga. Students are encouraged to make choices, practice mindfully and use modifications when needed. Sandy believes in creating overall strength and increasing mobility. Sandy also teaches Pilates, and is a Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki Practitioner.
